Amateur metal detector finds Viking-era silver coins from the 10th century in Finnish field1 min read

The Finnish Heritage Agency has reported that an amateur metal detector has found a Viking-era cache of silver coins and jewellery in a field in Mynämäki (southwest Finland). Believed to be from the tenth century, there were 12 coins minted by the Viking king Harald Bluetooth, of which only a few had previously been found in Finland
