Fuglen is all about quality products and good moments: it has been serving specialty coffee in Oslo since 1963 and opened the first coffee and cocktail bar in Tokyo in 2012. Six years later, it founded its own coffee roastery based on Direct Trade principles, with locations in Oslo and Tokyo and worldwide distribution. Today you can soak up the unique Fuglen vibe at seven locations, taste its coffee at cool bars and restaurants across the globe, or order a door-to-door delivery to enjoy your light roasted Fuglen coffee at home.
Fuglen first emerged as a coffee shop in 1963 (back then under the name Kaffefuglen): ever since then, high-quality coffee and tea have been an essential part of our brand and business. When the bar was renovated and reopened as Fuglen in 2012, it was important for us to preserve the original Kaffefuglen. Therefore, the bar and the wallpaper itself are original from 1963, while everything else is either vintage mid-century pieces or specially handmade with the same materials and remodelled after the mid-century design era. The original Fuglen still serves as a blueprint when we open flagship bars in new cities.
