Swedish logistics group Greencarrier AB has acquired 60% of Container Norway Utleie AS, becoming the company’s majority owner. The Oslo-based firm, founded in 1994, supplies container sales, rentals, and customised storage solutions across southern Norway, with depots in Stavanger, Fredrikstad, Larvik, Drammen, Moss, and Bergen. Container Norway will keep its name, while founders Øyvind Degnes and Jan Krokedal remain minority shareholders. Degnes continues as CEO. Greencarrier, founded in 2000 in Gothenburg and active today in 15 countries, aims to become one of the market’s most sustainable logistics providers by 2027. The deal comes amid a tight global container market, where operational costs, environmental regulations, and shifting trade flows continue to pressure supply and pricing.
