
The city of Oslo just launched a grant scheme to support the installation of fast charging stations (“hurtigladere” in Norwegian) for electric trucks and buses: the first round of funding will see the Norwegian capital carrying up to 80% of installation costs, through the ‘Climate and Energy Fund’. 28 new fast-charging stations have been granted 25 million Norwegian kroner (about €2.3 mn), so far. Application for the first round ended on 01 December 2022, while the deadline for the second round is set for 01 March 2023. ‘Fastcharge’ and ‘ST1’ will implement the 28 new fast chargers. Although the statement does not mention how many sites are expected, three seem already confirmed (in Rommen, Alnabru and Åsland in Søndre Nordstrand, Oslo’s southernmost district), with at least a fourth one under construction at Filipstad.
