
Today, eleven countries (Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Sweden, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, the Netherlands and Finland) meet in Stockholm to relaunch renewables with a European alliance on fourth-generation nuclear power. Before a united front on nuclear investment can be formed, an in-depth debate on the timing, methods and priorities for investment in domestic energy mixes is needed: but this could be the turning point. The debate is about to kick into high gear with the working table convened in Stockholm.
