During the night between May 16th and May 17th of the year 1900, a man attacked people onboard of the steamer Prins Carl in the lake Mälaren. It was supposed to be a robbery, but a lot of things went wrong that night. The 25-year-old Filip Nordlund ended up killing 5 people, and wounding another 8 people, and he only got away with what in today’s money would have been 1700 USD. This is the story of the steamboat mass murder.
