The Finnish majority state-owned airline FINNAIR announced on Wednesday that the flights to Turku and Tampere will be discontinued as of 1 May 2023. The flights are the shortest in its domestic route network and will be replaced with coach services. Primary motivations behind FINNAIR‘s decision are the economic and environmental issues arising from their low passenger load factors, around 35%.
