The ‘Arctic Race of Norway’ (ARN) is a four-day road race held every year in August in Northern Norway’s magnificent scenery. Created in 2013, the event has continuously developed and is now established as Scandinavia’s main international cycling event, and one of Norway’s most important sports events: the ARN is part of the UCI ProSeries, the second highest division of cycling races. Each year, several Tour de France teams and some of the world’s greatest cycling stars participate in the ARN: one of the event’s fundamental values is to federate across geographical and political barriers. The ARN is a free, accessible and inclusive event that uses the most beautiful stadium in the world: the stunning roads of Northern Norway.
For the tenth anniversary of the ‘Arctic Race of Norway’, which will take place from 17 to 20 August, the world’s most northerly cycling race is returning to the North Cape. The favourites will compete over four stages, all of which will be north of the Arctic Circle. From Kautokeino, a cultural centre of the Sami people and a town hosting the riders for the first time, the race will cross Troms og Finnmark over four days with a sumptuous fourth and final stage from Kvalsund to North Cape. With this iconic finish, the Arctic Race is reviving its history and celebrating ten years of existence. Main partner of the ARN is Equinor.
