The Champions Hockey League returned for the 2023/24 season with eight games on opening day. Four games involved teams from the Nordic countries:
17:30 Dynamo Pardubice – Ilves Tampere 1-3
17:30 Lahti Pelicans vs Växjö Lakers 1-5
18:00 Stavanger Oilers vs Färjestad Karlstad 2-4
19:00 Aalborg Pirates vs Tappara Tampere 1-2 (OT)
