Directed by Nils Gaup, the film “Sulis 1907” highlights an important part of Northern Norwegian history: the film had its pre-premiere outdoors in the mining town of Sulitjema, and will be out in Norwegian cinemas on October 6. It took 12 years of intense work to finish “Sulis 1907”, to date Northern Norway‘s most expensive film with a budget of NOK 56 million. The movie tells the story of 1300 workers who on 13 January 1907 gathered on the ice at Langvatnet in protest against the brutal behavior of the mine management.
