The Champions Hockey League Playoffs get underway this week with the First Games of the Round of 16 home & away series taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday. Ilves Tampere/FIN and Lahti Pelicans/FIN are new to the playoffs, whereas Skellefteå AIK/SWE and the Växjö Lakers/SWE have made it to the Semi-Finals in previous CHL seasons. It is certain already that at the end of the season a new European Club Champion will be crowned as none of the previous titleholders are represented in this season’s CHL Playoffs. The Return Games will take place the following week on Tuesday 21 & Wednesday 22 November.
