“The employees at Tesla deserve decent and safe working conditions, just like everyone else in the Swedish labor market. IF Metall has therefore been negotiating with Tesla for a long time. Unfortunately, they have declined to sign a collective agreement and thereby violate basic principles in the Swedish labor market. Therefore, IF Metall has been on strike since October 27 at Tesla’s Swedish service points and workshops”

According to Expressen, the strike has since spread to include Swedish dockworkers who started blocking deliveries of Tesla vehicles at the country’s ports, electricians who stopped maintenance work for the carmaker, and other workers in Sweden. Now the strike has also spread to Denmark and, according to Dagens Arbete, will soon be backed in the whole Nordic region, including Norway and Finland.
