In this documentary, ‘The Barents Observer’ reports on: the wreck of German Nazi “Tirpitz” warship near Tromsø; warplanes that flew above northern Norway 80 years ago; abandoned German ammunition stores, bunkers and trenches in Kirkenes, close to the former border with Soviet Russia. The documentary aims at historical research and education, to understand how the war heritage is still impacting the local environment today.
