Extreme weather ‘Ingunn’ is expected to hit somewhat further north than the forecasts first showed, and the strongest winds are now expected in parts of Trøndelag and Nordland. A red warning for extremely strong gusts of wind is out in these areas. From Wednesday afternoon to Thursday morning, a hurricane is expected on the coast and wind gusts of 35-50 m/s. The strongest gusts of wind are expected in outer regions from Hitra to Lofoten.
Norway. Thursday 1 February morning locally extreme gusts of wind 40-50 m/s are expected from west and northwest, and perhaps hurricanes at the coast. Winds increase first in southern areas, and decreases last in northern areas.
