Statistics Iceland. In total, 214,600 individuals were employed in the Icelandic labour market in March 2024, according to register-based data. The number of employed increased by around 4,900 between years, which corresponds to an increase of 2.3%. The number of employed females in February was around 100,300 and the number of males around 114,200.
