Following unsuccessful negotiations for higher salaries, as of May 14th four major workers’ unions in the Faroe Islands have gone on strike: the strike will impact various business activities and essential services, affecting also supplies across the islands. On Thursday, May 30th, talks were resumed but there were no negotiations to settle an agreement, therefore the strike continues.
