Finnlines has won the ‘Transport Company of the Year’ award at the Finnish Travel Gala in Vantaa (Finland), organised by the Finnish Tourism Industry Association (SMAL). The awards are based on a combination of public votes and the decisions of an expert jury, involving almost 13,500 consumers and tourism professionals. The award recognises the excellence of Finnlines’ mixed cargo and passenger ferries, which contribute to Finland‘s security of supply and offer travellers a sustainable option for travelling by sea to the Åland Islands, Sweden and Germany. Between 2023 and 2024, Finnlines will introduce two state-of-the-art vessels, the Finnsirius and the Finncanopus, on the Naantali-Làngns-KapellsIdr route: eco-efficient vessels that can carry up to 1,100 passengers and 5,200 linear metres of cargo each and are part of the company’s 500-million-euro green investment programme.
