Of all the Nordic Teams, the Main Round groups only qualified Denmark to the Quarter Finals; Iceland and Norway came third and Sweden fourth.

Held in Croatia, Denmark and Norway from 14 January to 2 February, the 2025 IHF World Men’s Handball Championship is the 29th event hosted by the International Handball Federation. This edition marks the first time the world championship is being held in three countries: it is the first time Norway hosts the competition, and the third for Denmark, who are also the triple defending World Champions, having won the 2019, 2021 and 2023 editions. The ‘Jyske Bank Boxen’ in Herning (Denmark) and the ‘Unity Arena’ in Bærum (Norway) are the only Scandinavian venues for the competition. Of the 32 qualified teams, 4 are from the Nordics: Denmark and Norway (co-hosts), Iceland and Sweden.
