Spotify and Warner Music Group, which owns the labels of artists including Ed Sheeran and Dua Lipa, signed a multi-year deal that will see Spotify directly license Warner Chappell Music, the publishing division of WMG, which has a catalogue of more than 1 million copyrights in the US and many other countries. According to the partners, the WMG-Spotify deal will expand paid subscription levels and introduce new content packages.
