The 2024-25 edition of the CHL ‘Champions Hockey League’ saw ZSC Lions Zurich keep the European Trophy in Switzerland with a nail-biting 2-1 victory over Färjestad Karlstad. The Swedes scored late to bring the game to within one, but a dominant defensive effort from the Swiss side helped secure their well-deserved win in the 2024/25 Champions Hockey League Final.

Of all the Scandinavian teams, only Färjestad BK (Karlstad) made it to the Semifinals, while Växjö Lakers (Växjö) exited at the quarter finals.

Regular Season Winners Färjestad BK had a tough Quarter-Finals First Game against Red Bull Salzburg in Austria, but put all the doubters firmly in their seats with a roaring 6-0 win in front of their faithful home crowd. Watch out for this Goliath team that have lost just a single game all season!

Here are the initial Nordic teams:

Finland: Tappara Tampere (Tampere), Ilves Tampere (Tampere), Pelicans Lahti (Lahti)
Norway: Storhamar (Hamar)
