Copenhagen Airport is set to experience a major boost in connectivity this summer, adding 31 new routes to its network. With this expansion, the airport will offer 315 direct routes to 171 destinations, reinforcing its role as a key northern European hub and responding to rising travel demand. Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is leading the charge with 21 new destinations, including Beirut, Bilbao, Bodø, Budapest, Cagliari, Krakow, Lyon, Madrid, Malta, and Nuuk in Greenland. SAS is also launching intercontinental routes from Copenhagen to Seattle and Seoul, further expanding the city’s global reach. Other airlines are contributing to the summer growth. Delta Airlines is opening a new transatlantic route to Minneapolis, while Norwegian will offer flights to Bratislava, Newcastle, Sarajevo, and Tangier. These new connections not only cater to leisure travelers but also support growing business travel across Europe and beyond. Ryanair, celebrating 10 years of operations at Copenhagen Airport, is ramping up its presence with a summer schedule of 32 routes. Popular cities like Gdansk, Krakow, and Venice will see more frequent service, reflecting strong passenger interest.

This broad expansion of routes is expected to benefit not only Danish travelers but also visitors from southern Sweden and the wider Øresund region. With increased accessibility and a broader international profile, Copenhagen Airport is poised for a dynamic summer season that promises economic gains and enhanced cultural exchange.
