In a recent interview with SecoloXIX newspaper, Danish midfielder Albert Grønbæk explained that he joined Genoa after positive talks with coach Vieira and sporting director Ottolini, as they convinced him that the team’s creative style suited him. Already friends with fellow Dane Morten Frendrup, and supported by compatriot Otoa plus Norwegians Thorsby, Bohinen and Østigård (his former Rennes teammate), Grønbæk says their presence eased his integration. He likens the club’s warm atmosphere to the Danish concept of hygge. Determined to stay true to his own style—on and off the pitch—he hopes to create goals, score, and help Genoa succeed, with the dream of regaining a place in Denmark’s national team for the World Cup.
