A brand new sleeper train service is set to launch on April 15, 2026: the route will run three times a week, linking Basel with Copenhagen, Denmark, and Malmö, Sweden. The 16-hour journey will depart from Basel in the evening and arrive in Malmö the following morning. Each train will carry 350 passengers in both beds and seats. The service is being introduced to meet the growing demand for sustainable, cross-border travel across Europe. Tickets for the new route will go on
sale starting November 4.
