The first F-35A for the Finnish Air Force was completed on 29 October at Lockheed Martin’s Fort Worth plant, and it will now move to Ebbing Air Base in Arkansas for pilot and technician training. Finland ordered 64 F-35As in 2021 to replace its F/A-18 Hornets by 2030. The first eight jets will be delivered in 2026, with later aircraft assigned to the Lapland Air Wing in Rovaniemi and a secondary base at Rissala.
