All Things Nordic welcomes selected editorial contributions, partnership proposals and sponsored articles that genuinely serve our readers and fit our focus on the Nordic countries and territories.
Publication is always subject to the following conditions:
Editorial relevance
Submitted content must have a clear and substantial connection with Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Greenland, the Faroe Islands, Åland or Sápmi. Relevant subjects may include travel, culture, society, history, design, architecture, gastronomy, hospitality, technology, sustainability and the creative industries.
Generic content containing only a superficial Nordic reference will not be accepted.
Editorial approval
Every proposal and completed article is reviewed individually. Previous correspondence, expressions of interest, indicative quotations or discussions about possible publication do not constitute final acceptance of an article.
Publication is confirmed only when All Things Nordic has approved in writing:
- the completed article;
- its subject and destination links;
- the publication fee and payment terms;
- any disclosure required for commercial content.
All Things Nordic may reject a proposal or submitted article at its sole editorial discretion.
Editorial control
All Things Nordic retains complete control over headlines, wording, structure, images, captions, links, disclosures, formatting, publication dates and subsequent updates.
We may edit supplied material to meet our editorial standards, British English house style, factual requirements and search-quality policies. Material requiring extensive rewriting may incur an additional fee or be rejected.
Originality and accuracy
Articles must be original, accurate and written specifically for the agreed publication. They must not infringe copyright, trademark, privacy or other third-party rights.
The submitting party must disclose any use of generative AI and remains fully responsible for checking every factual claim, quotation, source and image. Plagiarised, misleading, mass-produced or materially duplicated content will not be published.
Images and intellectual property
Images must be supplied with verifiable publication rights, full credits and any required licence information. Supplying an image constitutes confirmation that All Things Nordic is authorised to publish and, where necessary, edit it.
All Things Nordic may decline supplied images and select alternative appropriately licensed material.
Commercial disclosure and links
All paid, sponsored, affiliate or otherwise compensated content will be clearly identified where appropriate.
Links included as part of a paid placement will carry rel="sponsored" or another attribute selected by All Things Nordic in accordance with applicable search-engine guidance. We do not sell undisclosed or guaranteed do-follow backlinks, and requests to conceal the commercial nature of a placement will be refused.
Anchor text must be natural, accurate and relevant. All Things Nordic may modify or remove links that are excessive, misleading, broken, redirected to materially different content or detrimental to readers or the website.
Additional editorial and affiliate links may be included at our discretion.
Prohibited content
We do not accept content or links promoting:
- adult services or sexually explicit material;
- gambling, casinos or betting;
- payday lending or high-risk financial schemes;
- unregulated investments or misleading cryptocurrency offers;
- essay-writing or academic cheating services;
- weapons, illegal products or unlawful activity;
- unsubstantiated medical or health claims;
- counterfeit goods, deceptive services or misleading businesses;
- discriminatory, defamatory or politically manipulative material.
All Things Nordic may also reject any advertiser, website or subject that it considers inconsistent with the publication’s identity or readers’ interests.
Fees and payment
Fees are agreed individually according to the nature of the article, the commercial relationship and the editorial work required.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, payment must be received in full before publication. Bank, payment-platform and currency-conversion charges are the responsibility of the payer.
Publication will not proceed until cleared payment has been received.
Publication and indexing
All Things Nordic may provide an intended publication period but does not guarantee a specific publication date unless this has been expressly agreed in writing.
We do not guarantee crawling, indexing, ranking, traffic, conversions or any other outcome on Google, Bing or another search engine or platform. Such decisions and results are outside our control.
No representative or intermediary may advertise or promise guaranteed indexing, ranking, traffic, link equity or permanent placement on behalf of All Things Nordic.
Updates and removal
Published articles are not guaranteed to remain online permanently or unchanged. All Things Nordic may update, correct, relabel, archive or remove content and links for editorial, legal, technical, reputational or search-quality reasons.
Material may be removed without refund if the destination website changes substantially, becomes unsafe, breaches this policy or begins promoting prohibited or misleading content.
No transfer or resale
An approved placement may not be transferred, resold or reassigned to another client, website, agency or destination URL without prior written permission from All Things Nordic.
Agencies and intermediaries must identify the ultimate client and intended destination before publication.
Submitting a proposal
Proposals should include:
- the identity of the company, agency and ultimate client;
- the proposed subject and its Nordic relevance;
- the intended destination URL;
- the nature of the commercial relationship;
- confirmation that these conditions are accepted.
Sending an article does not oblige All Things Nordic to review or publish it. Unsolicited submissions may be deleted without response.
