The architecture studio “Kleihues + Schuwerk” has completed the ‘National Museum of Norway‘ in Oslo: located alongside the Nobel Peace Centre on the waterfront, it has a total area of 54,600 sqm and a collection of over 400,000 items, making it the largest art museum in the Nordic countries. The building is officially called the ‘National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design’ and is the result of the merging of the ‘National Gallery’, the ‘Museum of Decorative Arts and Design’, the ‘Museum of Contemporary Art’ and the ‘National Museum of Architecture’ back in 2003.
