Norway’s exports reached a new record in July: 229 billion kroner (€23.2 billion), 0.4% higher than the previous record set last March. Its trade surplus of 153.2 billion kroner (€15.5 billion) was also the highest on record. Norway is a major producer of offshore oil and gas, and it has seen energy exports surge as European countries are looking for alternatives to Russian energy, in response to the invasion of Ukraine.
