In 2023, after the wins in 2019 and 2021, Denmark won the third (straight) world championship.
The ‘Danish Handball Federation’ was founded on 2 June 1935 and it is a member of the ‘European Handball Federation’ and the ‘International Handball Federation’. The ‘Danish Handball Federation’ is the third largest in the world (only surpassed by German Handball Association and French Handball Federation), and Denmark is the country with the most success in the sport of Handball, having won more than one hundred medals overall.
