During a televised meeting with young people, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hinted that Turkey could approve Finland’s NATO bid without doing the same with Sweden. “If necessary, we can give a different message about Finland,” he said. This is the first time the Turkish government has hinted that it is willing to deal with Finland’s application separately from Sweden‘s.
