LO and NHO reached an agreement after four days of strike. A strike which has largely acted to increase purchasing power and give more to the low paid. “This is much better than the offer we received from NHO during the mediation. It’s a historically good result, and shows the benefit of standing together and standing up,” says LO leader Peggy Hessen Følsvik. All LO members get NOK 7.5 an hour, the low-paid get NOK 11.5 or NOK 10.5, depending on whether they have local bargaining rights or not.
