VR has added new price levels to long-distance train tickets: they make it possible to offer more tickets at different prices, including cheaper tickets. The cheapest way to travel is to book your train ticket well in advance or choose a train service outside peak hours. Long-distance traffic is most congested on Fridays and Sundays.
