Israel-Premier Tech’s Stephen Williams won the 2023 Arctic Race of Norway by only one second over Astana Qazaqstan’s Christian Scaroni.
Created in 2013, the ‘Arctic Race of Norway’ (ARN) is a four-day road race held every year in August in Northern Norway’s magnificent scenery. The event is now established as Scandinavia’s main international cycling event, and one of Norway’s most important sports events: the ARN is part of the UCI ProSeries, the second highest division of cycling races.
For the ARN tenth anniversary, the world’s most northerly cycling race returned to the North Cape over four stages, all of which north of the Arctic Circle: from Kautokeino, a cultural centre of the Sami people and a town hosting the riders for the first time, the race crossed Troms og Finnmark over four days with a sumptuous fourth and final stage from Kvalsund to North Cape. With this iconic finish, the Arctic Race revived its history, celebrating ten years of existence. Main partner of the ARN is Equinor.
