Pippi Longstocking and the Moomins made the leap from their home countries to become favorites among English readers young and old. In this program, a panel of translators and editors will discuss what makes Nordic children’s literature unique, and the challenges and opportunities in bringing these stories to English language audiences in the current publishing climate. Part of WorldKidLit month, this lecture celebrates world literature and translation for children and young adults.
