
Air Greenland prepares to place Kangerlussuaq on the world map by massively expanding its route network in Europe and North America by the summer of 2024, thanks to extensive cooperation with Icelandair, SAS, and Canadian North, with which Air Greenland has signed interline agreements that allow customers to book seamless flights across all networks and access international destinations. As regards North America, a new flight between Nuuk and Iqaluit in Nunavut (Canada), from June 2024, is aimed at enhancing mobility between Greenland and eastern Canada; the airline also plans to fly to Halifax, Toronto, and Vancouver. As for the United States, the airline intends to begin flying to Anchorage, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Minneapolis, New York, Seattle, and Washington DC, in 2024. As regards European destinations, the airline will fly (mostly with its partner airlines) to Aarhus, Amsterdam, Bergen, Berlin, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gothenburg, Hamburg, Hanover, London, Luxembourg, Kandersteg, Manchester, Milan, Munich, Oslo, Paris, Stockholm, Stuttgart, and Trondheim. Air Greenland is also reopening its route between Aalborg and Kangerlussuaq, catering to North Jutland customers (the route will be operated with a stopover in Copenhagen), and increasing its frequency between Kangerlussuaq and Copenhagen, up to ten weekly flights during the peak summer season. Some of the new routes Air Greenland offers are in cooperation with partner airlines via Keflavík (Icelandair) and Copenhagen. The airline announced its flight schedules for 2024 furing this year’s Vestnorden travel fair, a travel trade show for Iceland, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands.
