In her essay ‘After nature’ (1985), Danish writer Josefine Klougart explored man’s relationship with nature by drawing inspiration from the Glyptotek‘s collection of French and Danish landscape paintings. The eponymous exhibition ‘After nature’ (until 11 August 2024) now brings Klougart’s texts into dialogue with the paintings in the Copenhagen museum in an installation designed by the set designer duo ‘Vang Stensgaard’. The exhibition is divided into seven rooms in which works by great artists such as Degas, Cézanne, Courbet, Gauguin, Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Christen Kobke, Johan Thomas Lundbye and Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg are displayed.
