The Swedish trade union Seko stated that its members could stop the installation and maintenance of Tesla charging stations in the country in support of the union conflict between IF Metall and the car manufacturer over collective agreements. Tesla is facing pressure in the Nordic countries from powerful employee unions supporting the mechanics of Swedish IF Metall, who went on strike in October last year, demanding a collective agreement with the company. “The battle IF Metall is waging is important for the entire Swedish collective agreement model. That is why we have chosen to issue another warning and increase the pressure on Tesla,” said the president of Seko Gabriella Lavecchia. Seko plans to launch the action on 4 March, unless Tesla accepts a collective agreement with IF Metall by then.
