Falun/Lugnet– Lugnet is a large sport complex located in the outskirts of Falun, Sweden where 58 of the Swedish Sports Confederation’s 67 special sports can be practiced. Lugnet is Sweden‘s national cross-country skiing and ski jumping centre (the Lugnet Hills ski jump): FIS Nordic World Ski Championships have been organised here in 1974, 1993, 2015. At Lugnet you get to ski in the tracks of champions: every year all the world’s best cross-country skiers and some 20000 spectators come to the Svenska Skidspelen for the FIS World Cup cross-country competitions. We’re talking world-class trails of varying length and difficulty and plenty of hills and bends. If you want to experience skiing history and the breathtaking view that meets ski jumpers before they set off, a visit to Lugnet’s Ski Museum is a must. More daring visitors can try out the ski-jump simulator.
