– Hafnarfjörður: slightly over 20 minutes away from Reykjavík, it is open weekends from November 26 to December 18, featuring crafts and local food. Opening times: Every Friday between 17:00 – 20:00, Saturday and Sunday between 13:00 – 18:00 during the weeks of Advent.
– Heiðmörk Woods: located on the outskirts of Reykjavík and only a 15-minute drive, it’s a relaxed market with homemade goods and a Christmas tree farm. Opening times: Every weekend from 26th November until 18th December between 12:00 and 17:00.
– Árbær Open Air Museum: Focused on traditional Icelandic crafts and food, it has more opportunities to get involved in the making and doing of Christmas traditions.
