The Eliteserien title race in Norway is turning into a thriller: on Sunday, reigning champions Bodø/Glimt drew once again in a rollercoaster game at home against Fredrikstad, as they went first down 0-1, then came back 2-1, to finally waste two points on a 2-2 draw. On Saturday, Brann had won once again (2-1 vs Lillestrøm, thanks to a penalty sanctioned at 90+3′) and now leads the table two points ahead (58) of Bodø/Glimt (56). Over the last five Eliteserien games, thanks to five straight wins, Brann amassed 15 points out of 15 available, whereas Bodø/Glimt just managed to get 4, leading to an astonishing -11 points gap vs Brann. Furthermore, Bodø/Glimt was leading both last two games but was not able to seal the two victories that would have kept them 2 points ahead of Brann. Two more match days until the end of the season!
