
Swedish police have boarded the Chinese vessel Yi Peng 3, which is under investigation for its potential involvement in the severing of two undersea cables in the Baltic Sea. The cables, linking Finland to Germany and Sweden to Lithuania, were damaged in mid-November. The Yi Peng 3 was tracked sailing above the cables around the time of the incidents and has been anchored nearby since November 19. Swedish authorities clarified their role as observers during the Chinese-led investigation, emphasizing that no accusations have been made against Beijing.
