According to DR’s information, at least three American men with ties to the US president and the White House have been active in Greenland for a long time through various networks and contacts in an attempt to infiltrate Greenlandic society. According to DR’s information, one of the three American men, during a visit to Nuuk, made a list of names of Greenlanders who support President Donald Trump: the goal of the list is to find people that the man can recruit for a secessionist movement in Greenland and Denmark. At the same time, the man has also made a counter-list of Greenlanders who are critical of the United States, just as he has had Greenlanders point out cases that could portray Denmark in a bad light in American media. According to DR’s sources, the two other American men have maintained contacts with politicians, business people and citizens. The authorities are concerned that these contacts could be secretly used to support Donald Trump’s desire to make Greenland part of the United States.
