‘Of monsters and men’ played in Milan back in 2012 (Sept. the 16th) @ the Teatro dell’Arte venue (today part of the ‘Triennale Design Museum’). The band were promoting and enjoying the huge (rising, inesorably, at the time) success of their first album ‘My head is an animal’: their singles could be heard on the radio, but they were not into international stardom. Not yet. Right on the verge.

The gig was tremendous, brilliant, and excellent. I can still remember the drumming of Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson as breathtaking, implacable, overwhelming. The whole band was top notch: OMAM were clearly ready to enjoy the worldwide success that came along after a few weeks.
The setlist: Dirty Paws, From Finner, Slow and Steady, Mountain Sound, Skeletons (Yeah Yeah Yeahs cover), Your Bones, Love Love Love, King and Lionheart, Lakehouse, Little Talks, Six Weeks. Encore: Sloom, Yellow Light
