
After a three years hiatus, whaling company Hvalur hf. will resume whaling in Iceland at the beginning of June, until September. Activities will take place in Hvalfjörður fjord’s whaling station (West Iceland), and at the company’s processing plant in Hafnarfjörður (Southwest Iceland). The suspension was due to a dispute, now cleared, with the Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority (MAST), concering the whaling station in Hvalfjörður fjord.
