Art and design gallery ‘The Darling’ has recently opened in the heart of Copenhagen (Amagertorv district): a place halfway between art gallery and guest house, the idea comes from Jens Løkke and Uffe Buchard, founders of ‘Darling Creative Studio’ (also publishers of the fashion and lifestyle magazine ‘Dansk’). ‘The Darling’ is a 100 sqm space transformed into a flat that houses furniture and objects by renowned designers as Hans Wegner, Finn Juhl or Arne Jacobsen, but also of niche designers and young talents. It also hosts Danish art: sculptures in the most diverse materials and paintings. Everything is for sale, and you can drop in for an event, an exhibition, or visit by appointment. ‘The Darling’ can also be booked for a real stay: optional services include a personal chef or a masseur for home relaxation.
