In 2022, solar and wind power supplied 59.3% of Denmark’s total electricity consumption, their biggest ever contribution to the country’s energy pool.
The state-owned company Energinet congratulated itself for the efforts and results provided over the year 2022. Compared to 47.1% last year, wind and solar energy recorded an impressive increase of 11.8%. The increase was made possible by the introduction of more solar cells, along with the first full year of operation of the ‘Kriegers Flak’ offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea.
