
Denmark is becoming ever more accessible for U.S. Travelers: Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is launching a new service to the country with a direct route from New York (Newark) to Aalborg (AAL) in Jutland. The carrier will launch thrice weekly flights from Aalborg and also Gothenburg (Sweden) to New York’s Newark airport, starting in late April 2023. The Aalborg-Newark service will operate on Monday, Thursday and Saturday, while the Gothenburg-Newark route will operate on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. SAS said that the routes would operate throughout the summer 2023 season, “and will return for the summer 2024 programme”. SAS also serves New York’s Newark airport from Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm.
