Sunshine grooves and wild, jazzy horns come together in Sunbörn – a 6-piece instrumental group from Denmark that has released 3 albums, toured the world and won Denmarks top music award (Danish Music Award/Grammy) 3 times as The KutiMangoes. They changed the band name to Sunbörn to match the development in their sound and to underline a stronger connection to where they come from. This new chapter will be marked by releasing new music including collaborations with, among others, Clap! Clap! (I), Caio Marcio (BR), BIGYUKI (JP), Ida Nielsen/Bassida (DK), DJ Opolopo (S), DJ Francis Mercier (H), and Moderator (G). First single out on November 25th 2022.
About the album:
As human beings, we are all born under the same sun and are connected by the same forces of nature. We may come from different backgrounds and have different experiences, but at our core, we are all the same. And in times when the world is tearing itself apart it is clear that music can stitch us back together again. Music has the power to bring us together and remind us of our common humanity. It can cross boundaries and bridge gaps, bringing people of different backgrounds and cultures together in a shared experience. No matter who we are or where we come from, music has the power to connect us and remind us of the common thread that runs through all of humanity. Meeting the world and connecting through music has been a vital mission for our band from day one, and we look forward to continuing the journey with our coming album.
