Today the ARoS Art Museum celebrates the 12th anniversary of ‘Your rainbow panorama’ – in daily speaking: Rainbow.
Olafur Eliasson has created the permanent work of art as a circular 150 meters long and three meters wide circle made of glass in all colors of the spectrum. The colorful masterpiece has a diameter of 52 meters and is mounted on slim pillars 3.5 meters above the museum’s roof surface. When you go for a walk in the rainbow, you get panoramic views of all of Aarhus. For every step you take, the city gets a new color and when the sun hits you will experience a very special play of colors in Eliasson‘s work. The rainbow is now also a landmark for Aarhus – and we are proud every time it features in the news, foreign press or on the beautiful photos of all our guests! Thank you for that. Tak.
