NUIJA indie rock band (Nuuk, Greenland) is a musical collaboration between Greenland, Denmark and Iceland. The sound of NUIJA is a complex soundscape which is both fragile and vulnerable, but also strong and powerful powerful, always with a strong
melody as a fateful companion.
The Arctic nature is everywhere present in the atmosphere of the songs, roaring guitars like calving icebergs and airy vocal harmonies like the wind over the seas. The lyrics, exclusively in Greenlandic language, touch on subjects like insecurities, climate change, love and other familiar subjects.
