The championship is jointly hosted by Germany and the Netherlands, and the final will be held in Rotterdam Ahoy. For the third time, 32 teams will take part, following the expansion in 2021. Egypt, Faroe Islands and Switzerland will make their debut at the championship, with the Faroes becoming the smallest nation to ever qualify. France are the defending world champions, having won the 2023 edition after beating Norway 31–28 in the final. The other Nordic teams participating are Denmark, Iceland and Sweden. All the Nordic teams made it to the Main Group, in which only Denmark (5W/0L) and Norway (5W/0L) made it to the Quarter Finals

Denmark lost to France 26-31 in the Quarter-Finals, whereas Norway made it to the Find by beating Montenegro 32-23 and the Netherlands 35-25. Norway will now face Germany in the Final
